The MC3-SC is a step controller for controlling a maximum of 8 compressors and 8 condenser fans based on the measured suction and discharge pressure and its setpoints. The new hardware platform offers a suitable solution for each cooling unit. Two versions are therefore available as standard: The MC3-SC and the MC3-SC2 (for smaller units), the choice depends on the number of required inputs and outputs. The MC3-SC is installed on a DIN rail in a control box from which all of the cooling unit stages and variables are controlled.

VASP software converts all the data from the connected VDH controlsystems into real-time process information.
The software can be installed on a server or desktop pc, which communicates with up to 100 controllers via Ethernet.
VASP gives you insight into all running processes so you can closely monitor them and intervene immediately when needed.

The controllers connected to the VASP system are operated in a logical, intuitive manner. They are displayed on a clearly organised start screen on which the core values are immediately visible. From the start screen, users can zoom in to the controller level with a simple mouse click. There, the main settings can be changed in order to fine-tune the control process. Sensor values and control process status are also easy to read.

VASP features:

    Alarms are shown in VASP, via E-mail or via the VASP smartphone app.
  • Data logging
    VASP records accurately all the data from the connected controllers.
  • User profiles
    Several users can work simultaneously in VASP. Each user can be assigned separate privileges.

The VASP software can be installed on a desktop PC or rackmount server with Windows 7, 8(.1) or 10. These can be both 32-bit or 64-bit versions.

Proba 5

The PROBA 5 is the successor of the PROBA 4 ripening controller.

The PROBA 5 is characterized by the central DIN-Rail control module, which can be mounted in a (central) switchcabinet.
The operator can use the Proba 5 remotely by the VASP software or local at the ripeningroom by a touchscreen controlpanel.

With the touchscreen controlpanel (optional) it is possible to readout the room temperature and to change the set point. It is also possible to stop a program and to start the stand-by mode. This is important if the server crashes or the network is damaged.
The normal operation will be taken place on the pc with VASP.

Each Proba 5 controller has got its own IP address and can be connected to a network switch, which is connected to the VASP pc.
The VASP pc software should be installed on a server pc and can be used with every pc which on the network. The pc should have a browser with java.

The VASP software can control a maximum of 100 PROBA’s 5. If necessary, it is possible to make more locations. Each location can contain 100 controllers.

Ripening programs can be made by using a graph. In this graph it is very easy to make adjustments. Not only in default programs but also in running programs. Set point changes can take place with a ramp, with a step. or with a combination of these two. It is possible to make as many set point changes per day as you want.

In case of an alarm, there can made a difference between office times and out of office times. It is possible to sent the alarm message by e-mail or pushmessage by the VASP app.

The PROBA 5 meets the strong requirements of the TÜV Rheinland. We have received a TÜV Rheinland ID number for the PROBA 5. This ID number is worldwide known and means that the quality from the PROBA 5 is guaranteed en meets the strong requirements.

The Alfanet IP-Interface is developed as an intelligent portal between the alfanet and a company network or the Internet.

With this interface it is possible to send an e-mail message in case an error occurs on one of the controllers on the network. The e-mail will be sent to all the e-mail addresses which the customer has programmed into the interface. The e-mail will contain which controller produces which failure.

The log data will be stored on a SD card so they will be available for a long period of time.
Be aware that controllers which have their own memory should be connected to the pc on a regular base to avoid loss of data.

The pc program for read out the controllers is only available for computers with Microsoft Windows®. The versions XP, Vista and Windows 7, 8 and 10 are supported.

The pressure gauge is build in a stainless steel house and is filled with glycerin for reliable operation and long life. The seal between the plastic window and the housing prevents leakage by means of a bayonet catch with a rubber ring.

A connection nipple is fixed to the housing in a unique way making external connection screws unnecessary. This gives an extra protection against leakage caused by vibrations.

Pressure changes that can occur due to temperature differences of the glycerin are automatically compensated by the special bellows.

A safety blow-out plug is located on top of the unit holding.

As measuring element of phosphor, bronze is encased in an elastic bourdon tube, soldered to a large brass junction.

The measuring element is thermally and mechanically protected. This allows an over pressure of 25% of the range.

At ranges below 600 mBar a low pressure spring box is used. In that case the pressure gauge is supplied dry (without glycerin).

As standard a dial according to EN 837 is mounted, but on request other dials are also available like a BAR/PSI dial. Often the dial is provided with your company logo.

The pressure gauge has a stainless steel housing and is filled with glycerin for reliable operation and long life. The seal between the plastic window and the housing prevents leakage by means of a bayonet catch with sealing ring.

The manometer types 375 and 375/1 are differential pressure gauges based on the Bourdon tube measuring system. Both pressures (+ and -) have their own Bourdon tube. The difference in result between both measuring systems is the differential pressure, which is indicated by one pointer.

For a good calibration a ratio of maximum 1:5 of the static pressure should be observed.

On request the pressure gauge can be provided with a relatively high overload capacity, depending on the differential pressure range.

The pressure gauges 375 and 375/1 can be liquid-filled, making them suitable for continual pressure fluctuations.

The stainless steel membrane pressure gauge, type 275/6, was developed to measure liquids that are relatively viscous, cloudy, crystallising or corrosive and that have a high medium temperature. Practical examples are refineries, chemical plants (thermal oil) and in applications where aggressive liquids are involved.

The standard pressure gauge 275/6 is suitable for a maximum continuous medium temperature of 200°C. It has an open hydraulic cooling coil so that maximum heat is released. The advantage of this is that it keeps to a minimum the influence of the medium temperature on the measuring accuracy.

In spite of the high medium temperature the manometer can be liquid-filled, which makes it extremely suitable for applications with continuous pressure fluctuations, such as pump, hydraulic, ship and similar installations

The standard stainless steel manometer 275/6 is delivered with stainless steel flanges and a stainless steel 316 membrane. If the liquid is too aggressive for stainless steel 316 then the flange and membrane that come in contact with the liquid can be coated with Teflon.

The pressure gauge type 375/3 is a differential pressure gauge based on the Bourdon tube measuring system. Both pressures (+ and -) have their own Bourdon tube. Each Bourdon tube (pressure) has its own pointer. The difference between both pointers is the differential pressure. The + side has a red pointer and the – side a black. The advantage of this is that you can read the pressure of both the + and the – sides.

The manometer 375/3 can be liquid-filled, making it suitable for continual pressure fluctuations.

This differential pressure gauge is available in two models. Type 375/3S has a stainless steel Bourdon tube measuring element and a ½”BSP stainless steel connection. In type 375/3B the measuring element is of phosphor bronze and the connection is ½”BSP brass

A complete range of robust pressure gauges has been specially designed for use in fire engines. 

The pressure/vacuum model (-1/+25 bar) is available in two diameters, 80mm and 100mm. The standard high and low pressure manometers, with ranges of 0/+25 bar and 0/+60 bar respectively, are 100mm in diameter. 

The pressure gauges are housed in good-quality stainless steel. The connecting nipples for these gauges are a standard ½”BSP and made of brass. They are supplied with a strong connecting bracket to counter possible vibrations from the pump.

The standard high and low pressure gauges are filled with glycerin.

The pressure/vacuum gauge has a red band in the range -1/0 bar and a green band in the range 0/+25 bar. The low pressure gauge has a green band in the range 0/+15 bar and a red band in the range 15/+25 bar; the high pressure gauges have a green band in the range 0/+43 bar and a red band in the range 43/+60 bar.

The stainless steel Solid Front pressure gauge has been specially developed for the pressure gauge 75 series and has the same wide range of applications.

These pressure gauges are fitted with an explosive-proof front and a loose “blow out” rear. During uncontrollable increases in pressure there can be no great pressure increase in the casing. This special construction provides a high degree of safety should any unintentional pressure increase occur. 

The solid front model is available in two types, the 75/6-SF with connection underneath and the 75/7-SF with connection at the back. The connections and measuring element are made entirely of stainless steel.

For the reasons mentioned above these models are particularly suitable for the petrochemical and processing industries which demand this built-in safety.

The pressure gauge A376 is developed to measure the differential pressure on ammonia installations. The pressure gauge is provided with a dial, which indicates the static pressure and a rotating dial, which shows the differential pressure.

The gauge is build in a stainless steel housing and filled with glycerine which ensures a reliable long lasting instrument. The sealing between the plastic window and the housing prevents leakage by a bayonet catch with a rubber ring.

Pressure changes that can occur with temperature differences of the glycerine are automatically compensated by the special bellows. A safety blow-out plug is located on top of the unit holding.

The measuring elements are made of stainless steel contemned in a bourdon tube argon arc welded to a large stainless steel junction.

The A 376 is only supplied in size ø 100mm. As an option a back flange is available. The pressure gauge is supplied with a ½” BSP connection, other connections available on request.

The A 376 has a range of -1/+12 Bar with a differential pressure of 0/+6 Bar. On request other ranges are available.

As standard a R717 temperature dial is mounted. The dial can be provided with company logo.

The A75 pressure gauge has been developed for pressure measurement of ammonia compressors.

The pressure gauge has a stainless steel housing and is filled with glycerine for reliable operation and long life. The seal between the plastic window and the housing prevents leakage by means of a bayonet catch with sealing ring.

A connection nipple is fixed to the housing in a unique way making external connection screws unnecessary. This gives extra protection against leakage caused by vibration.

Surges that can occur due to temperature differences of the glycerin are automatically compensated for by the special bellows. A safety blow-out plug is fitted to the top of the gauge to guard against explosions.

The measuring element is of stainless steel contemned in a bourdon tube argon arc welded to a large stainless steel junction.

The measuring element is thermally and mechanically underrated allowing a 25% out of range safety margin.

The pressure gauge can be delivered in several sizes and formats with a choice of connection sizes and couplings.

The instrument scale is calibrated as standard for R717 temperature scales and the dial can be provided with your company logo.

The ALFA 1-IRS is an energy-saving airflow detector which has been specially designed to detect airflow in air ducts. 

The ALFA 1-IRS was designed for use in car spraybooths, for example, to switch from the energy-saving ‘Standby’ position to a spray position which requires much more energy. The ALFA 1-IRS does this switch automatically and at precisely the right moment, so that maximum savings are achieved.

It works as follows: when there is no air removal the outgoing relay contact is in the ‘Standby’ mode. When air removal through the spray valve is detected the ALFA 1-IRS immediately switches over to the ‘Spray’ mode.

The instrument is fitted with an adjustable time delay mechanism, adjustable from 1 to 5 minutes, which illuminates the LED timer when the removal of air has ceased. Depending on the time set the ALFA 1-IRS switches to ‘Standby’. This avoids any unnecessary switching backwards and forwards that might result from short interruptions in spraying.

Alfanet IP Interface

The Alfanet IP-Interface is developed as an intelligent portal between the alfanet and a company network or the Internet.

With this interface it is possible to send an e-mail message in case an error occurs on one of the controllers on the network. The e-mail will be sent to all the e-mail addresses which the customer has programmed into the interface. The e-mail will contain which controller produces which failure.

The log data will be stored on a SD card so they will be available for a long period of time.
Be aware that controllers which have their own memory should be connected to the pc on a regular base to avoid loss of data.

Of all messages which are sent by the controllers, two are used to energize the two internal relays of the interface. One is the alarm relay and the other is an extra function message.

The pc program for read out the controllers is only available for computers with Microsoft Windows®. The versions XP, Vista and Windows 7, 8 and 10 are supported.

The ALFANET TEMPLOGGER is a module for logging of 16 Pt1000 2-wire sensors.

It is possible to connect 16 ALFANET TEMPLOGGERS on one Alfanet system. This means that it is possible to log a maximum of 16×16=256 sensors.

The adjustments can be made through the Alfanet or VASP PC programm. Sensors can be switch on and off and for each temperature sensor a minimum and a maximum alarm setpoint can be programmed, including a delay time for each alarm.

The alarms will activate the alarm relays from the PC interface.

The Alfanet PC interface is the connection between the Alfanet and the PC. 

The PC interface has a real-time clock and a display on which you can read out the time or the amount of data in the memory buffer. 

The PC interface has two relays. One of the relays is a central alarm relay which is activated when one of the connected modules raises an alarm. The second relays is activated as soon as the memory buffer is filled for 90%. 

The standard PC interface has its own memory from 1MB which allows log data to be stored even when the PC program is not active. It is also possible to order a PC Interface with a memory of 2MB.

There are two different types of interfaces. One has a RS 232 communication port and the second has a USB connection.

It is also possible to connect a modem directly to interface. In this case it is possible to communicate to the network without a pc.

The pressure gauge is built in a stainless steel housing and filled with glycerin, which ensures long lasting reliable operation of the manometer. The seal between the plastic window and the housing prevents leakage by a bayonet catch with a rubber ring.

The DKT 100 is provided with a 3½ digit LCD with 18mm digits. The thermometer has a internal lithium battery.

The EA 205 is an energy-saving airflow detector which has been specially designed to detect airflow in air ducts.

The instrument is build into a tough plastic casing with an anodised aluminium front and signal LEDs.

The EA 205 was designed for use in car spraybooths, for example, to switch from the energy-saving ‘Standby’ position to a spray position which requires much more energy. The EA 205 does this switch automatically and at precisely the right moment, so that maximum savings are achieved.

It works as follows: when there is no air removal the outgoing relay contact is in the ‘Standby’ mode. When air removal through the spray valve is detected the EA 205 immediately switches over to the ‘Spray’ mode.

The instrument is fitted with an adjustable time delay mechanism, adjustable from 1 to 5 minutes, which illuminates the LED timer when the removal of air has ceased. Depending on the time set the EA 205 switches to ‘Standby’. This avoids any unnecessary switching backwards and forwards that might result from short interruptions in spraying.

The FC 785-PC is specially developed for economical storing of fruit, such as apples and pears. The thermostat is equipped with separate counters to count the number of cool pulses and the total cooling time. 

The thermostat can be deliverd for wall mounting or panel mounting. 

Besides the controlling of the cooling, also the fan and defrost are controlled by the FC 785-PC. Defrost can be a natural defrost, electric defrost or hot-gas defrost.

The thermostats can be connected in a network. When hot-gas defrost is selected, the defrost will first start when one of the other rooms is cooling. When none of the thermostats are cooling the defrost will wait. If this takes too much time, one of the other thermostats will be start the cooling to make hot-gas.

The thermostat has two operation modes. In the cool down phase the cooling is started on request. This means that the cooling will start as soon as the room temperature is too high. In the storing phase the cooling is on relay base. This has the big advantage that only a small refrigeration capacity is required. The relay time is adjustable from 0 till 90 minutes.

The MC 785-MP is a universal controller specially designed for drying and/or storing agricultural products such as bulbs.

The thermostat is available for wall mounting and panel mounting.

Besides the cooling, heating and moisture control, the controller als controls the defrost and the fan. It is also possible to defrost three evaporators one by one. So if one of the evaporators is defrosting, the other 2 are still cooling. It is possible to use off-cycle, electrical or hot-gas defrost.

The thermostats can be connected in a network. When hot-gas defrost is selected, the defrost will first start when one of the other rooms is cooling. When none of the thermostats are cooling the defrost will wait. If this takes too much time, one of the other thermostats will be start the cooling to make hot-gas.

The thermostat has two operation modes. In the cool down phase the cooling is started on request. This means that the cooling will start as soon as the room temperature is too high. In the storing phase the cooling is on relay base. This has the big advantage that only a small refrigeration capacity is required. The relay time is adjustable from 0 till 90 minutes.

The MC 785-MP has a network connection for read-out and data logging on the Alfanet PC software.

The MC 785-SC is a step controller, which controls maximal 8 compressors and 8 condensing fans based on the measured suction and discharge pressure and its setpoints.

The controller can be adjusted so that the compressors will switch on and off by calculating the best capacity or that the running hours from all the compressors will be as equal as possible.
It is possible to use compressors with different capacities. The MC 785-SC will make a calculation what the best possible combination is to keep the required suction pressure.
The condensing fans can be switch on and off in a fixed sequence or to keep the running hours as equal as possible.
Compressors and fans can be put into a maintenance position.

To safeguard the control it is possible to set:
• a minimum and maximum pressure alarm
• a minimum and maximum pressure failure
• a minimum and maximum temperature alarm
• a minimum and maximum temperature failure
It is also possible to connect external alarms. As soon as an external alarm occurs, the particular compressor or fan will be taken out of control.

On the MC 785-SC a super-heat alarm can be adjusted to avoid that liquid will be come into the compressor.

All adjustments can be protected by using a password.

MC 885 SDHL

The MC 885 SDHL is a thermostat for controlling on/off burners with ‘high/low’ burner control. It is also possible to control the burner with a modulating control. The thermostat supports 2 modes (mode S and mode D) each with their own set point. With a digital input the required mode can be selected.

In case of use at spray boots, mode S can be used for spraying and mode D for drying.
In other cases these modes can be used other options like day and night temperatures.

The way the controller functions depends on the parameter settings. The controller can control with 1 or 2 modes(set points), with 1 or 2 sensors, eventually depending of the actual mode (S or D).

The default control supports the control functions ‘burner on’, ‘burner low’ and ‘burner high’ as shown is the function diagram. For each relay a control function can be set. If a burner should be started with a change-over relay contact ‘burner high/low’, than the control function ‘burner high’ can use RY2 or RY3.

The measurement and control range are both from -50 till 300°C, with a read out per 1°C. The control range can be changed with a parameter setting. Normally the upper display shows the room temperature and the lower display shows the active set point.
Besides the default control the controller has minimum alarm detection, a maximum alarm detection and a maximum limitation. With the parameters the required settings can be set. Also the required actions at an alarm can be set.

If a controller detects a sensor failure the control will be stopped, an alarm message will be shown and the alarm relay will be activated.

The PROBA 4 is the successor of the PROBA 110/3 ripening controller.

One of the advantages of the PROBA 4 is, that the control pcb’s can be installed into a central switchpanel and the control panel is only an option. This means that long cables are not necessary which will result in an easy installation and less disturbing.

With the optional control panel it is possible to readout the room temperature and to change the set point. It is also possible to stop a program and to start the stand-by mode. This is important if the server crashes or the network is damaged.
The normal operation will be taken place on the pc.

The VASP pc software should be installed on a server pc and can be used with every pc which on the network. The pc should have a browser with java.

The VASP software can control a maximum of 100 PROBA’s 4. If necessary, it is possible to make more locations. Each location can contain 100 controllers.

Ripening programs can be made by using a graph. In this graph it is very easy to make adjustments. Not only in default programs but also in running programs. Set point changes can take place with a ramp, with a step. or with a combination of these two. It is possible to make as many set point changes per day as you want.

In case of an alarm, there can made a difference between office times and out of office times. It is possible to sent an e-mail in case of an alarm.

The PROBA 50 is a microprocessor controlled thermostat developed for the control of banana ripening rooms.

Via the contacts for cooling and heating the PROBA 50 takes care of an optimal temperature control. Also the gassing and ventilation of the bananas is taken care by the PROBA 50.

The temperature control is based on the average of three product sensors. For the control on the minimum and maximum air temperature an air sensor can be connected. All sensors are 3-wire Pt-100 sensors.

The PROBA 50 is easy to control on the front side. To prevent unauthorized use, first a personal access code has to be entered.

In the Internal Programming Menu settings like differential, alarm levels and default ripening programs can be programmed.

The SM 820 is a solid temperature sensor designed to measure temperature in e.g. frozen meat.

The sensor is made of stainless steel, very solid and heavy designed. The SM 820 has a smooth surface for an easy cleaning.

The piercing part is conic, so it is easy to release a frozen sensor.

The two side mounted grips are solid and can be used to put in and take out the sensor from the frozen product.

The connection cable is made of silicon, witch remains flexible till -50°C. Standard length is 5 meters.

The sensor is a Pt-100 3-wire according to DIN/IEC 751. This element is fit into synthetic resin to prevent damage, also at rough use.

The SM 830/8300 series are solid temperature sensors, which are available in various models.

The construction is made of stainless steel and available in various designs for almost every application. The sensors have a stainless steel connection head and a turnbuckle for the cable input.

Sealing of the various models is at least IP-55 and on request a higher rate is available. The sensors are available with various sensor elements, mostly a Pt-100, Pt-1000 or PTC element.

As standard 2 or 3-wire system or if required a 4-wire system. The models with a Pt-100 element are the SM 830 series; the models with a Pt-1000 element are the SM 8300 series and the models with a PTC element are the SM 831 series.

All sensors meet the DIN/IEC 751 norms. If required more accurate models are available.

The SM 840 is a fully ANSI 304 sensor, with a probe of 400mm length. The special aspect of the sensor is that the sensitive part is 150mm long, which makes it possible to measure an average temperature without any special provision.

The 10 meter long connection cable is a 3-wire cable, as standard provided with shielding. The outgoing cable is protected by a protection spring.

As sensing element a Pt-100 3-wire according to DIN/IEC 751 is used.

The SM 850 series are temperature sensors for measuring in products. The sensor tip is made from stainless steel and is available in two models: with sharp or round tip. The sensor tip is suitable for use in liquid.

The sensor has a black plastic grip with a 3-pin DIN-connector for connecting the coiled lead.

The sensor is available in the following standard models:

SM 850
Sensor ø6mm and provided with a round point to prevent product damage. Length of the sensor is 170mm. As sensor element a Pt-100 3-wire is used according to DIN/IEC 751. The sensor can be used to measure e.g. the temperature between bananas etc.
SM 8500
This sensor is identical to the SM 850, but has a Pt-1000 element in stead of a Pt-100.

SM 850/1
Sensor of ø 4mm and provided with a sharp point to pierce into the product. Length of the sensor tip is 150mm. As sensor element a Pt-100 3-wire is used according to DIN/IEC 751. The sensor can be used to measure the temperature in e.g. dough products.
Please note: not suitable for frozen products!

SM 8500/1
This sensor is identical to the SM 850/1, but has a Pt-1000 element in stead of a Pt-100.

The sensors are supplied without coiled lead and connection box (type 502). These
should be ordered separately. The standard, orange coiled lead is 1,5 meter long
(stretched 6 meter). Other length and colours are available on request.

On request the sensors can be supplied with other length or measuring elements.

SM 860

The SM 860 is a temperature sensor for hand-held use, developed to measure the temperature of agriculture products like potatoes, onions, flower bulbs, etc.

The stainless steel sensor has a length of 400mm and a diameter of ø 8mm. The grip is made of red PVC and a turnbuckle M12.

The connection cable has a length of 5 meters and is made of solid PVC cable with
3-wires of 1mm² each.

The measuring element is a Pt-100 3-wire according to DIN/IEC 751 is used.

The Spraytronic II is a complete control for a spray booth and consists of a combination of a control panel (Spraytronic II CP) and a main printed circuit board (Spraytronic II MPCB), which are connected to each other with a 4-core connecting cable.

The Spraytronic II main board has inputs for two temperature sensors Pt1000, an input for spray detection and three digital inputs for external on-off switch, fire detection and an emergency stop. Several LMS in- and output modules can be connected to the main board for extra functions.
The following LMS modules are available:
– LMS 4x Analogue out 0-10Vdc (max. 1 analogue out module)
– LMS 6x Digital in (max. 2 digital in modules)
– LMS 7x Relay (max. 3 relay modules)

The TEC 4 is a digital portable thermometer with LCD display. The range is -40/+50ºC per 0,1ºC. The thermometer can be read out in °C or ºF.

The thermometer has a programmable minimum and maximum alarm temperature. When the alarm temperature is reached, an alarm message will follow through a build-in buzzer during appr. 1 minute and a message in the display.

The TEC 4 thermometer offers the opportunity to choose between a quick measurement (sample time 1 second) or a slow measurement (sample time 15 seconds). In the 15 seconds mode the energy use is 10 times less than in the 1 second mode.

The thermometer is supplied with a stainless steel sensor with 1 meter cable. The TEC 4 is made for standing, hanging or clipping.

This range of thermometers are designed for panel mounting. The TK63 is a round model, the TK72 is square.

The housing is made of black plastic. Sizes according to DIN, for both models is a panel cut out of 61mm needed.

As measuring element a special wrapped bourdon tube is used without transmission system. This system ensures an accurate measuring and is no subject to wear.

The thermometers have a flexible plastic covered capillary and a brass sensor.

The TK63 and TK72 are also available as thermostat. Then they are provided with an adjustable micro switch. The TK63EK1 and TK72EK1 have one contact, the TK63EK2 and TK72EK2 are equipped with two micro switches.

The models from the TR 830 are the same as they are for the SM 830 range. The only difference is the transmitter which is build into the sensor.
