Our Agro Storage Controller, named MC3-AGRI, is an advanced and flexible control system designed to manage the full climate inside storage cells. It accurately controls temperature, humidity, CO₂ level, ventilation and cooling to maintain ideal conditions for each product and each phase of storage – from drying and wound healing to long-term storage and warm-up.
The controller can operate up to five cells, a compressor and a condenser and can coordinate actions between multiple controllers for energy management and shared cooling capacity. Its modular hardware and configurable inputs and outputs make it suitable for all common storage systems, including bulk, crate, and suction wall installations.
Short summary of operation:
Sensors continuously measure product temperature, air temperature, humidity, and CO₂ concentration.
The controller then regulates air valves, ventilators (with a max. 30 main fans per cell), burners, cooling units, heat recovery systems and humidifiers to maintain the target climate.
Through flexible configuration, users can select operating programs such as:
- • Drying – removes excess moisture after harvest.
- • Condens drying – dries by combining mechanical cooling and heat recovery.
- • Wound healing – creates optimal curing conditions after harvest.
- • Storage – maintains stable temperature and humidity over long periods.
- • Warm-up – carefully increases temperature before processing or delivery.
Multiple MC3-AGRI units can work together in a master/slave network for larger installations, ensuring efficient energy use and uniform control. The controller can also be connected to VDH’s VASP software (VDH Alfa Server Program) for remote monitoring, data logging, and multi-cell management.
